Teenage prodigy, Luke Littler claimed a staggering eighth title of his fledgling professional career as he was crowned the 2024 Jacks World Series of Darts Champion in Amsterdam.
In what has already been an incredible breakthrough year for the youngster, his trophy haul continues to grow exponentially after a magnificent performance in defeating Michael Smith 11-4 and claiming a second major PDC honour.
Beginning his campaign in the AFAS Live Arena, Littler recovered superbly to edge Ross Smith in a thrilling last leg decider.
Trailing 3-1 after the early exchanges, the 17-year old fought back tenaciously to eventually grab a dramatic victory and pip the 2022 European Champion to the post.
Raymond van Barneveld was the next former major winner to fall as Littler posted another mighty ton plus average to overcome the Dutch legend on home soil and set up a tantalising ZXF derby quarter-final with Chris Dobey.
The Geordie was also enjoying an excellent start to the tournament as he kicked his quest off with a sterling recovery to get past Dimitri Van den Berg by the slimmest of margins.
Facing down the barrel of a 4-2 deficit to the Belgian number one, Dobey dug in deep and unearthed an exceptional comeback for his 6-5 opening match win.
And the Littler versus Dobey showdown was confirmed after another stellar display from the former Masters Champion to take out the impressive Croatian, Boris Krcmar 6-4 in a high quality encounter with both men registering three figure averages.
But for Chris Dobey, despite another ton plus performance, it was Littler who prevailed courtesy of a 10-7 scoreline with the English duo sharing a colossal nineteen maximums between them.
Into the semis and Littler despatched of another Netherlands favourite as he ran rampant to reel off nine consecutive legs and deny Michael van Gerwen a single shot at double in a purple patch of pure dominance.
Trailing 3-2 at the first interval, the Warringtonian put his pedal to the metal and stunned the Green Machine with a blistering bombardment of power scoring to blow the Dutchman away and record a mammoth 11-4 victory.
With the stats flashing up revealing a whopping 107.95 average beside the name of Littler, the youngster took his maximum count up to twenty-eight for the tournament.
An hour later and the teenager was in the winners circle once again as he dished out similar treatment to a third former World Champion of the weekend in Michael Smith to add another trophy to his ever increasing collection.
This time it was a string of seven scintillating legs from 3-3 which took the Nuke to the title and ensure a maiden triumph in the Netherlands for the record breaking youngster.
